Space Shuttle Enterprise To Fly One Last Time

I for one would welcome Enterprise to New York, it’s said, one of the shuttles might make it to the Intrepid aircraft carrier museum. I recall one of the first sci-fi conventions was held in the Hilton Hotel (or another) and an important connection between fiction and fact explained, to keep the efforts of the previous missions, especially to the Moon and back, alive for science education in the US, programs at the time in danger over civil disobedience. I once saw a used Gemini capsule on-loan in the transportation museum in Ottawa, Canada and, don’t think to many it matters whether it’s been in space or not, human comprehension and imagination often provides enough experience. We’ve had rockets on oil burner service trucks for years and who knows a spaceport in New Jersey might someday be built.
