Welcome – but insufficient – relief from ‘don’t ask’ Editorials – The News Tribune: “I’ve worked in the West Point Foundry and the Academy, both sides of the Hudson River in New York. Once a secret weapons plant the other grew out of our fight for independence and a chain to it from Constitution Island. I can’t imagine the 1993 policy ever in the past and the general implication seems stretched to other fields of experience and a stumbling block to military and the science of intelligence. It’s as if some misdirected ‘oath of silence’ becomes more important than communications. The more superior ‘signal corps’ more often is what wins the battles. What policy is there that cannot be changed, and if that is so where has the citizens armed services gone as described in the Constitution?”
